This summer I wrote texts for three hiking maps of my home province: Zeeland. Each island or peninsula of Zeeland has a map of its own. I wrote content for the maps of Walcheren, Noord-Beveland and West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Each of these regions is well worth a visit and with the map you can easily navigate the hiking network of Zeeland at your own pace. The network encompasses existing roads but also takes you cross country over dikes and fields. It does not just lead you from A to B (or in this case from Veere to Vrouwenpolder) but it does so along the most scenic and quiet routes
the hiking network
Promotie Zeeland Delta develops and maintains the hiking Network in Zeeland. They also publish the maps I helped create. They are for sale in VVV offices (Dutch tourist offices) and you can also buy them online in the VVV Shop (please note that the site is in Dutch).
there is more to come
I have been hired by Promotie Zeeland Delta for several new projects, so this winter I will do a lot of writing. But of course I will also definitely find the time to brave the cold and roam through Zeeland, hiking map in hand.
